"Saving time and costs. Absolute order," this is how Dipl.-Ing. Josef Ramaseder described the advantages of an electronic inventory control. Since the location's removal to Leonding, the new inventory control system has been operating and storage area has expanded three times. The wide range of seals, belts, adhesive tapes or abrasives could be stored in 25 different storage area sizes with varying shelf depths or heights. The enterprise needed a software to ease the complexity of random storage. "Firstly we classified storage area with target and must criteria. This enabled us to find the optimal storing position for every product. Heavy items are now placed on the first level instead of placing them on the top level of the high-level rack," in-company project manager gives an insight into present practise.
